Andrew is a former journalist who has always had a love of writing, current affairs, history, and good novels.
He always had an ambition to write thrillers, and his first book in the Joe Johnson spy conspiracy series, The Last Nazi, was published in August 2017. It has hit the Amazon top 10 in the UK and top 40 in the US, as well as achieving number one rankings in individual categories.
There are now seven books in the Johnson series, which features a former US government Nazi hunter and CIA officer. The first book in a second series, featuring former MI6 officer Jayne Robinson—who also appears in the Johnson books—has been published and the second is in the pipeline.
The themes behind these thrillers also pull together some of Andrew’s key interests, particularly history, world news, and travel, exploring the ways in which human behaviors deep into the past continue to impact on modern society, politics and business.
Andrew studied history at Loughborough University and worked for many years as a business and financial journalist before becoming a corporate and financial communications adviser with several large energy companies, specializing in media relations.
He originally came from Grantham, Lincolnshire, and lives with his family in St. Albans in Hertfordshire.
Andrew’s books are published by his own company, The Write Direction Publishing Ltd, incorporated in the UK, which also operates this website.
